Wanchese Amberjack Fishing Charters

On this 6-hour trip, you'll go out to no more than 5 miles in the ocean, which will depend on the weather. You'll head out to catch Amberjack, Triggerfish King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and other ones that swim around. You'll have more time for fishing, gear on board, and a professional crew.

You'll be targeting red drum, black drum, speckled trout, flounder, sheepshead, rockfish, sea mullet and more depending on conditions. All weather/situation dependent. You'll use multiple techniques including jigging, trolling, live bait, cut bait, and sight casting light tackle, In the fall months heavier tackle targeting bigger red drum August-September. Up to 4 people join this trip. Capt. will decide inshore/inlet based on conditions, tide, wind, clarity ect for best opportunity all around.

Start your day with some fishing action and explore the sound and the inlet on the flats and reefs. Searching for Trout, Redfish, Sheepshead, Flounder, and whatever you may come across. Morning trips can be the best time to fish. You could be jigging, drifting, and live baiting on this trip.

Highly recommended trip fishing from the captain's commercial boat! Six hours allows enough time to venture further and maximize fishing time. Wreck and bottom fish in the ocean, or stick to the sound. We can even split this trip up and do some ocean fishing and some sound fishing. In the ocean, you'll go after Amberjack, Seabass, Triggerfish, Spanish Mackerel, Kingfish, and Mahi. In the sound, we'll fish for Speckled Trout, Red Drum, Flounder, and Sheepshead. Family-friendly and fun for all levels!

This trip is primarily fishing within 5 miles of the beach. You'll be fishing for Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, False Albacore, and Ribbonfish and keeping a close eye out for a school of Red Drum and Cobia. This is the perfect trip for families, beginners, or anyone looking for a fun trip. This trip is seasonal.

Fishing Nearshore is usually done within sight of the beach. The 4-hour trip is perfect for families with young anglers as well as groups that just want to catch fish without those long 4-hour plus commutes to offshore. Most nearshore trips are done trolling small spoons or similar lures around schools of Bluefish and Spanish Mackeral.

Weather permitting, we will start trolling for Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, & Ribbonfish! We will always look for Cobia depending on the time of year. We can drift for Flounder, Trout, Black Seabass, and croakers! This is a great family trip and the kids are welcome to come! We cannot wait to take you fishing! It is a beautiful cruise to see Duck Island, Bodie Island Lighthouse, dolphins & other local wildlife.

Inshore fishing is a great light tackle experience. We stay in the calm waters of the sound and depending on the time of year, we catch Speckled Trout, Redfish, Black Drum, Red Drum, and Sheepshead. Plenty of room for your group of up to 6 on our 33'' open fisherman. We do have a restroom!
