We agreed and what a great decision it was. Captain Joe knew my boys wanted to catch a shark and he made it happen. The smile in the picture says it all. After shark fishing for a few hours, we caught our own bait and continued fishing for black drum. It was a great experience for my family. Captain Joe was great guide, is very knowledgeable, and was great with my boys. He answered all their questions…and they asked a lot of them. I would highly recommend Captain Joe. I know we’ll be back. There’s even talk about going back again this week.

My mom, who was scared to catch a fish at all, ended up being the only one to catch a shark! We were originally supposed to go with captain Joe, but he was having issues with his equipment. Joe was very quick to make sure there was another captain, and very quickly transferred all materials we needed to captain Chris’ boat. Chris was very easygoing, with a calm demeanor. He was very knowledgeable as to which spots had fish, and was very careful when operating the boat, making sure to not hit the choppy waves from the wake of the other boaters out on the water. I’m not very experienced in fishing, but that was no problem for the captain. He baited every hook and gave me a good cast when I needed it. Although we didn’t catch much, that is no fault of the captain. We all had an amazing time, and all have the sunburn to prove it! I hope to be back soon! Thank you Eastern Tailz for ensuring the safety of passengers, and making sure everyone was set up for success in the water!

Captain Joe decided to stay out longer and try 2 more spots. The first was unsuccessful but the second spot provided 3 quality red drum. If it weren't for captain Joe and his willingness to go the extra mile and stay out longer, we might have left empty handed. Thank you, Joe. We will definitely be back for more!

We caught a limit of Spade , 5 flounder, a black bass, and a 26” Red fish. The captain was great to be around and, he kept us moving on fish. I would absolutely recommend paying the extra money for the full day. Money well spent. We will be back. Chad

Half day inshore with Captain Joe

My 7yr old caught 2 Redfish too big to keep (I didn’t know that was even a thing before today). He was helpful and patient with my son when he did what he was supposed to do, but also when he acted like a 7yr old. Would highly recommend this boat and am already looking to book another trip with him this fall.

Trip was fun. I talked with captain Joe before we left the dock about what we were going to fish for, and he said it was going to be a tough bite with the muddy water. I asked if he would be able to put my son and his friend on a shark and he did. We weren’t able to land either one, but the kids got to fight a shark and they each loved it. Captain Joe then put us on some flounder and redfish and trout. The two boys caught a few fish each and they were happy. Joe warned us it would be a tough bite and I greatly appreciate that as an avid fisherman. I knew what to expect. Overall, captain Joe was a great guide. I would highly recommend him for a guided trip.
