Vineyard Boat Charters with Capt. John Hobby
Vineyard Boat Charters is een bodemvissen charter die zich richt op een familievisservaring die geen enkel ander charter op het eiland biedt. Ik neem je mee op een korte tocht vanuit de Tashmoo Harbor en langs de noordkust van de Vineyard naar enkele van mijn favoriete bodemvisplekken. We zullen driftvissen en bodemvissen terwijl we over de goede structuur drijven die onderdak biedt aan Zwarte Zeebaars, Scup, Bot, Zwarte Vis, Doornhaai, Poon en meer.
Mijn doel is om jullie een geweldige tijd te bezorgen en jullie te laten kennismaken met de schoonheid en geschiedenis van de Vineyard Sound en de vissen die er thuis zijn. Ik vind het geweldig om kinderen met brede glimlachen op hun gezicht te zien wanneer ze zien wat ze binnenhalen. Dit gaat echt over families die een fijne tijd hebben, de kans krijgen om te vissen, en gewoon een geweldig onderdeel van hun vakantie beleven. Een geweldige gelegenheid voor foto's en herinneringen.
Ik doe normaal gesproken ochtendtrips, maar ik kan ook middag of zonsondergang doen als die tijden beter uitkomen. Ouders houden soms van de zonsondergangen, goed voor die mooie familiefoto. Twee uur is echt alles wat je nodig hebt. Er is veel actie in die twee uur, en het lijkt erop dat iedereen in die tijd zijn fill krijgt.
Mijn basisprijs is voor 4 vissers, twee uur. Ik ben USCG-gecertificeerd voor maximaal 6 vissers tegen een extra kosten per toegevoegde visser. Extra vistijd is mogelijk tegen een extra uurtarief.
Ik heb alle veiligheidsuitrusting die je nodig hebt, maar als je de jouwe wilt meebrengen, ben je van harte welkom zolang het voldoet aan de USCG-regelgeving.
Mijn boot heeft een voorste V-kooi met twee slaapplaatsen, een toilet en stromend water om handen te wassen. Er is zitplaats voor maximaal 6 vissers.
Enkele essentials om mee te nemen zijn een zonnebril, een pet, zonnebrandcrème (geen spray) en water. Als je andere dranken wilt meenemen, vraag het gewoon. Alcohol is toegestaan met mate, maar probeer sterke drank en glazen flessen te vermijden.
Fooien worden zeer op prijs gesteld. Als zowel schipper als eerste maat handel ik elk aspect van je trip af. Hoewel niet verplicht, laten gasten meestal 15-20% achter.

His communication before the trip was excellent and he made sure the entire experience was easy and stress-free. He is experienced and knows where to find the fish - we caught several black sea bass and the highlight was my son catching a cape shark! He took time to help everyone aboard, answered all our questions, and made sure my son and niece had an unforgettable experience. We had an awesome day on the water and I would absolutely book with Captain John again!

Captain John was awesome. Lots of communication pre-departure around changing weather. Ended up able to go and our kids (10, 8, and 5) were hooked up to fish all morning. Two hours was the perfect length of time to get out and catch some fish for this age. John kept the rods going, helped as much or as little as needed for each age, and was friendly and knoweldgeable about the area. Hope to fish with him again! Brought a ton of fish on board for lots of smiles and great photo ops!
