4 Hour - Saltwater - Shoreline - Sportfishing 

My husband and 10 year old had a blast on the 4 hour fishing trip. They caught multiple fish and came back feeling like a million bucks! Thanks to Jason for a fantastic and memorable trip!

We had a great time fishing! I booked this for my husband and decided to tag along. Our guide was knowledgeable of the land and local area. He helped me out since I’m not a seasoned fisher. My husband was given a few tips on the local bass and sent out to try the new techniques. We were guided to his favorite spots that he found the largest fish. We didn’t catch anything, but it wasn’t without him trying to get into the water to cast into the best spots for us. Since we didn’t catch anything he took us to a local garden with a stone dam to give us more local info. We will be booking the sea fishing the next time we come out!

Had a great time fishing with Jason! He was very informative, and extremely knowledgeable on the wildlife and the history of the island. He also taught me new techniques of fishing. In addition, he genuinely cares about the environment, which I appreciate. I look forward to booking another trip when I come back with my family! 🤙

Man! What an amazing day! Wed love to be able to walk the walk. But the truth is, salt water fishing is a whole other world for us and we wanted to have the best to guide and teach us! We caught a lot of fish but the views, turtles, and easy morning would have made it worthwhile even if we hadn't! Jason is chill! Easy going and super knowledgeable!

The guide was extremely unprofessional. He took us to what he called “a private property his wife use to work at” and the ponds were almost completely dry. Unkept and had not been cared for in what looked like over a year. He had a fit and yelled at me when I got my line stick in a tree. Scolded me like a child and went off on a tangent about how the locals hated visitors on their island and how people leave trash behind. Had us walk a quarter mile thru an area of sticker bushes, brush and tree limbs that were taller than we were. He said we were bush whacking. 🤦‍♀️ This trip reminded us of when we were kids sneaking into private pond areas we were not supposed to be fishing. At one point I was afraid we may get into trouble for fishing the area we we’re in, when he took us to a back corner behind a bunch of brush and scolded my husband for being out in the open and didn’t want him to be seen. The guide spent most of his time fishing himself instead of tending to either of us. The only bait we had were small live fish that he kept in a floating bucket and had us wait for another bait until he was ready to give us one. He would walk in the front of us fishing and then tell us to cast into the same area he had already fished. He would scold us if we keep the bait on our lines out of the water for too long. If we needed a bait and he was fishing he would sigh and say hold on a second let me finish what I’m doing and I will bring you one and he would continue on fishing until he felt us getting impatient. Very negative and seemed extremely unhappy to even have us with him. Several times during the trip both my husband and myself had to stand there and watch him try to catch a fish in the corners of the pond as we did not have bait and he had control of the bucket. One point my husband was getting frustrated so he went to get his own bait and the guide told him, wait I will get that for you but my husband kept going for a bait so he said do not use the larger bait as those were for the bigger fish. 🤦‍♀️ By the time the trip was over with both my husbands and my shins were on fire from the sticker bushes and bleeding. He took photos of us and the few fish we caught (estimated 8-10 fish total) and said he would send the link to us after the trip but never did. We did not tip this guide due to him being disingenuous, unprofessional, unfriendly, his negative attitude, the fact that he was more worried about fishing himself instead of being a guide and we both felt like the trip was deceptive. We were both afraid to say anything to the guide as he picked us up from our room and we felt trapped by him and would not have a ride home if he left us.

A lot of lecture about local customs and curtesies, some anger and frustration over a crossed line and a hook caught on a rock. We’re fishing oceanic coastal reef so it’s hard not to get caught. You are exposed to the sun the entire time, SUN BLOCK FOR SURE!!!!!! No live bait was used, hike in hike out on foot only, NO BOAT!!!

While we did not catch any fish, we have a great time! Jason was very patient with our lack of fishing experience and was really helpfull with our 10 year old grandson. This was a trip i would really recomend to anybody looking to spend some quality time while in Kauai!

I spent the morning fishing with Jason. Great guide, very experienced & knowledgeable, great equipment & we fished in a great location. The only reason the overall rating wasn’t higher was due to the uncooperative fish that forgot to show up. This was my second outing with Jason & would certainly recommend his trips to anyone that wants to experience shoreline & reef fishing. Just remember it’s called fishing which doesn’t necessarily mean catching. Thanks for a good day Jason! Looking forward to a return trip to the area!

We booked a 6 hour tour a few months in advance. Reservation process was smooth with good communication. We were given fair warning the seas were rough so we came ready for whatever. We had a great trip despite the rocky ride and still caught 5 good-size fish. The boat and crew were amazing. Would highly recommend.
