Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Jack Crevalle, Ladyfish, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Black Marlin, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Cubera Snapper, and anything else that bites.
You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Brayan also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Fox Tours Fishing Trips welcomes kids aboard, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Your trip begins aboard a 28' Dusky 28 center console with room for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

But we did manage to pull in an amazing 58in 120lb amberjack! We also snagged a yellowfin that first mate Jimmy sliced up into sashimi for us right on the boat. Brian and Jimmy were a blast to hang out with--we'll be going back out with them next time we're in CR for sure!!!

Six hours of trolling too slow only brought for live bait fish on trip look for a different Capt.. but was outdated equipment was outdated rods and reels were outdated worst fishing charter on this app I’ve ever used look for a different Capt.
