Nossa Senhora da Luz has a fish with your name on it, so let Vasco De Gama Fishing Charter help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Jose knows them forwards and back.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Mahi Mahi, Little Tunny (False Albacore), Bluefin Tuna, Blue Marlin, and who knows what else! During the trip you might be fishing with heavy tackle, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Also remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
Your day begins aboard a 62' Striker 62 sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 12 passengers. It has a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Jose has rods and reels for you, along with lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and a hat. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Vasco De Gama Fishing Charter!
