Discover the breathtaking beauty and world-class sport fishing of Lake Michigan’s northern coast aboard our 25 ft Pursuit C250 Center Console. Operating from Traverse City to Petoskey, JL Outdoor Sport offers customizable fishing charters for experienced anglers, families, and beginners looking to learn the sport.

On Lake Michigan, we target hard-fighting King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Cisco, and Lake Trout. On nearby inland lakes, including Torch Lake, we target Lake Trout, Atlantic Salmon, Yellow Perch, Pike, Walleye, and Muskies. Any legal-sized catch is yours to keep, and Captain Jeff will gladly clean your catch for you. Our trips are fun for all ages, making them a great choice for a family fishing adventure.

Our Fleet

For Lake Michigan trips, we use a 25 ft Pursuit Center Console that accommodates up to 4 passengers. The boat is equipped with downriggers, essential fishing gear, and an onboard toilet.

For inland lake trips on Torch, Elk, and Bellaire, we use an 18 ft Center Console that accommodates up to 3 passengers. It is equipped with downriggers, essential fishing gear, and spinning gear.

What to Know Before You Go

Everyone in your group must have a valid local fishing license before boarding. You can purchase one online or ask the captain for guidance.

Check the weather forecast the day before your trip and dress accordingly. Be sure to bring sunscreen and a lightweight rain jacket.

Drinking water is provided, and you are welcome to bring your favorite snacks. Alcohol is permitted in moderation, but hard liquor and glass bottles are not allowed.

Please ask in advance whether child-sized life jackets are available. If not, bring your own.

A first mate, who is Captain Jeff’s son, may join the trip to help ensure a smooth experience. Mates work hard to make your trip enjoyable, and a tip of 10–20% is customary.
