The state's waterways also teem with Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Hybrid Striped Bass, particularly in premier spots like Grand Lake O' the Cherokees and Keystone Lake.
For unique adventures, Oklahoma's rivers hold prehistoric Paddlefish, especially during spring migrations in deeper channels like those around Grand Lake. Catfish enthusiasts thrive statewide, with channel, blue, and flathead varieties abundant in the Arkansas River and Lake Texoma. Coldwater anglers find exceptional trout fishing in the Lower Mountain Fork River's clear currents, while Crappie and White Bass offer year-round action at lakes including Oologah, Fort Gibson, and Skiatook.
