Lure-In Fishing Guide – Sturgeon Bay 

My wife, my 11-year-old son, and I had a great time fishing with Captain Dennis. He’s been doing it for decades and it shows. We caught several large walleye (22-27”) along with a perch that he filleted for us to eat for dinner and quite a few sheep head that we fed to the grateful pelicans. 🙂 I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and we’ll certainly use him again next time we are in Door County!

Captain Dennis was great! We had a good time with him. We caught what we were after, some nice perch and walleye! We went as a family. All you have to do is fillowhis instructions and you will be on yhe fish! Come with a good attitude and you will catch a lot. We would highly recommend booking with him! We will be back to join him again!

Caught many small mouth bass and some rock bass. Saw a few large muskies but they wouldn’t bite for anyone. Overall great day , enjoyable conversation and successful catch. Thanks Dennis!

It was a bit windy when we went fishing but Captain Dennis still found us some good areas to fish. We caught walleye, perch and a musky!

Beautiful day too! But that was pure luck. Capt Dennis is great; he knows these waters, and his approach to fishing is a bit more thought out. In Sturgeon Bay, we did casting for the first hour, then moved out to Green Bay for trolling for walleye. Did very well too; walleye, sheepshead, and even a large cat. My sons and I weren't mad at the fish - we just wanted to have fun, and Capt Dennis certainly is fun. He handled 100% of everything and was genuinely concerned about us having a good day. Very much recommended - thank you, Dennis, for the time we spent - you're a super nice guy.

We chose the 11 AM-3 PM just a week before, which was full of cool and rainy days (for July), and wouldn't you know it! It was sunny and warm for our day. That's nice at first, but - in retrospect - the heat of the day meant not that many fish were biting. Captain Dennis was great. He was prepared and got us ready to fish! He caught a fish within 30 minutes, and we thought there would be so much more. We saw fish jumping, and we tried and tried, but I only caught a very small bass to get throw back. Captain threw back 2. My son didn't get anything, other than lots of moss and weeds on the lures. However, the fast boat rides to all the locations on calm waters was fun for the kid. Captain even kept going past 3 PM (for another hour) in hopes we would finally get something. Just wasn't gonna work out today. I guess choosing the earlier time (ugh) *could* have been more successful? Or how about a cool and rainy day!? Anyway, my son still had a positive attitude after all that and said he would like to go again. I would recommend Captain Dennis.

Dennis is a great fishing guide and super good instructor. I walked away with a variety of fishing concepts that were demonstrated and used successfully. If you get Dennis as your Captain, you have done very well. Dennis thanks for the superb experience!

The main body of the lake was pretty rough but he kept putting us into areas that were calmer. We caught a lot of fish. We caught three that were large smallmouths! Very happy with Dennis and Lure In

Be clear with the captain on what you want. You will enjoy it better. Choose your Month wisely. Species differ. But this was what we needed.
