Wing & Rod Guide – Saltwater Bay 

Captain Ben Wells was great. He put us on the fish . Local guide of 25 + years and a good man I could not have asked for a better guide for me and my family. Highly recommended and 👍🏻👍🏻 Up .

Captain Ben is a great guide! He put us on fish and when it got slow in one spot we would quickly move to another and catch more fish! He is a seasoned guide that knows where to fish and where to cast! Very pleasant individual with witty jokes! Overall a great time was had by all! Thank you Captain Ben!

We had a great time with Ben. That morning the weather wasn’t great and after discussing with Ben we decided to go out about 8:30 am. Ben took us to a back bay where we were out of the wind and put us on some fish. He moved a couple of times, and we caught some fish at each place. Ben kept an eye out on the weather as we just had some mist. Finally, around 2:00 Ben said that he saw some rain approaching and asked if we wanted to stay out or go in. We decided to go in and it started to rain on the way in. We went to Ben’s house where he filleted the fish for us. All in all, it was a good trip even though the weather wasn’t very cooperative. We definitely will use Ben again.

Had a good time with Ben in the flats chasing big reds. We went to a remote area in the marsh in his airboat and we were the only boat out there in the shallows. It was spectacular, beautiful, and serene. Reds were plentiful as we could see them everywhere…but picky. I wanted to catch them on lures but after several lures with no bites, I switched to mullet and we caught several big reds…some over 30”. Thanks for the memories Ben!

We had a fantastic trip! We limited out on drum. We had a very active day. Captain Ben took us to some of his favorite spots. Besides drum, we caught red fish, hard head catish, sting ray and even a crab. Captain Ben worked hard to ensure we had a super day including baiting our lines from his shrimp live well, casting our lines unless we wanted to do it ourselves, netting the fish and removing hooks from fish, and replacing hooks and sinkers when lines broke. Captain Ben provided excellent instruction. The fish provided a good fight and were challenging to get in the boat, often changing direction, swimming to other side of boat. Ben knew the waters very well. His boat handled well on a windy and rough day. We highly recommend Captain Ben.

Have had a blast using Wing and Rod guide looking forward to the next time we book again.

We are very happy with captain Ben. Evey spot we went he had us on fish. We were in almost the worst fishing conditions and captain Ben was able to get us on fish. VERY impress. Wind was 20 -30 mph and water was chocolate brown. He is very experienced and knows the area. SUPER nice guy and he was telling us about how the fishing has change over years. I will definitely going back and go with this guide again!! See you in the fall.

Went out for a full day with Ben and he was amazing! On time, informative, and helped the women bait/cast. Wife & aunt winded up catching the biggest fish out of us 4. Great time & experience, will definitely book again!

Captain Wells was an excellent guide! He made sure that me, my wife and two sons were comfortable on the boat. He made sure we had bait on the hook at all times and he explained exactly how to engage and bring in the fish!! We caught many large trout on this trip. We thoroughly enjoyed this guided fishing tour with Captain Wells at the helm...excellent conversations and lots of fun!!! Thank you Captain and we'll be seeing you sometime in October!!
