Kapten Nathaniel (Nato) Verde har över 20 års erfarenhet som fiskeguide och är dessutom uppvuxen i Belizes största fiskargemenskap. Han tar dig ut på fiske på norra sidan av ön och delvis centrala Belize, vilket inkluderar insjölagunerna, floder, rev och vadningsbara grunda sandbottnar.
Kapten Nato tar dig ut på sin 24-fots flatsbåt, nybyggd 2017. Det finns gott om plats för 2 gäster att fiska bekvämt. Båten drivs av en 70 HK Yamaha-motor med en maximal marschfart på 35 knop. Den har även en polningplattform, kylboxar och en levande betesbehållare.
Du kan fiska på de grunda saltvattenbottnarna efter Tarpon, Permit och Bonefish, i vildmarken efter Snook, eller ge dig ut till världens näst största barriärrev för att fiska Snapper, Jack Crevalle och Barracuda. Du kan använda spinning eller flugfiske – informera bara kaptenen i förväg för att kontrollera om han kan tillhandahålla fiskeutrustning.
Turen inkluderar även snorkelutrustning på begäran, lunch, vatten och andra läskedrycker. Efter turen rensar och filetterar han din fångst. Det enda du behöver förbereda i förväg är ditt fiskelicens.

We caught several LARGE snapper, huge barracuda, had opportunities at bonefish and most importantly boated tarpon. Tarpon was my main goal of this trip and these two did EVERYTHING to get me on one. Their passion for these waters and sport is like something I've never seen before, can recommend enough!

The guidance was excellent, I was put into a school of a thousand Bones within 20 minutes of leaving port. Listen to any advice he gives you and genuinely be curious, ask the questions you want to know as he is passionate about where he lives and what he gets to do. Thanks Nato, I’ll be back for sure!

Heldagstur – Flugfiske/spinning den January 21, 2026 • 2 vuxnaNato had the conditions (overcast with later day rain) against us, but he found feeding bonefish in quieter wayer and gave us consistent shots at them. we are experienced fly and light tackle on fresh and saltwater but this was our first time for bonefish. Really spooky but did have our chances and landed my first bonefish. Super exciting and Nato is just a great guy to spend the day fishing with.

Went out with Capt Nato and his son for 1/2 day of flats fishing. My saltwater fly casting technique was a little rusty but Capt Nato was a great instructor and I soon had my ‘double haul’ working again. Great fly rods, reels, and flies along with an asortment of spinning gear. Boat was well organized and comfortable. Although the weather did not cooperate with rain and wind most of the morning, the Capt found and put us on several schools of bonefish based on his extensive knowledge of the waters surrounding Ambergris Caye. I will definitely go out with him again when back in Belize. If you are looking for a professional flats fishing guide who will coach you to make you better, Capt Nato is your guy.
We had an awesome time! Had a chance at a grand slam! Caught the same barracuda twice lol Captain Nato and Willow were extremely knowledgeable, very personable, and made us feel like we were fishing with old friends! Would definitely recommend and go again!
