Snapper fishing is exciting no matter how experienced you are. Come onboard and go chase these massive tasty fish. You could also get Trevally, John Dory, Kahawai, and many other reef species. Not only that, but you will also see a rich wildlife of the area. Prepare your camera to get a nice shot of dolphins, whales, and the stunning scenery. The crew will tutor you to help you snatch a tasty dinner. It's a nice family activity.

The crew's doing 4-hour fishing trips in the morning. It is great for families with young kids who just want to have a short experience and fun on the water. Things to expect beside fishing while traveling to the fishing grounds are dolphins, whales, wildlife, and native birds around the islands of the Hauraki Gulf.

Come shallow trolling on lake Rotorua for Rainbow and Brown Trout. Depending on the day, how many people on board and time of the year there are options to fly fish or soft bait to cruising Browns. Fish average 3.5lb for Rainbows and 6lb for Browns with 85% Rainbow and 15% Brown.

The day may start around 8am where you will meet with the captain. You would have discussed the venue, licence, and gear requirements the night before. We will travel to the lake, set up the boat and fish for the day. Usually be back to Taupo about 4-5pm. This gives you around 6 hours on the water. I provide snacks, lunch, and drinks, and fly fishing gear should you need it.

For those who want to venture further, our Outer Gulf trips take you to more remote and less-fished areas. We'll be targeting larger snapper and other prized species. Like our inner gulf trips, we offer both half-day and full-day options to suit your schedule, with an experienced crew and premium fishing gear and bait all included.

Enjoy a full day of guided fishing on the world-renowned Mataura River and its tributaries in Gore, Eastern Southland. Known as a dry-fly mecca, the Mataura offers abundant mayfly hatches, the famous willow grub falls, and excellent terrestrial fishing throughout summer and autumn. Trips are limited to a maximum of 2 anglers per guide, ensuring a personalized experience and plenty of individual attention.
